Strength Renewed

Image
At times when things seemed overwhelming especially in new school environment with so many new things to learn about and deadlines to meet with new tasks popping out every now and then, no wonder they said a teacher's job is never easy, what's more, I'm only tasting the tip of the iceberg of what's to come. Long hours stretching from 7-5 and possibly 7-7 in future. I thank God that my strength is renewed daily, physically, mentally and spiritually, I need all 3 refreshings!! 'He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall. But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagle, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.' Isaiah 40:29-31

Supernatural Favor

Do you ever have moments in your life that you realised you are helped even though you may not be seeking for it? Sometimes, help comes in different jigsaw sizes and only when you reflect on the incidents that happened then you see the whole complete picture. Talk about supernatural favor. 'And we know that ALL things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.' Romans 8:28 (NKJV)

THE CELL PHONE vs. THE BIBLE

Image
THE CELL PHONE vs. THE BIBLE I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone? What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets? What if we flipped through it several times a day? What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it? What if we used it to receive messages from the text? What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it? What if we gave it to our kids as a gift? What if we used it when we traveled? What if we used it in case of emergency? Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being "disconnected" because of an unpaid bill. Jesus already paid the bill in-full.And just think--no dropped calls! God hears them all! -- Author Unknown

Saved From Such Men

Saved From Such Men by Os Hillman, February 19, 2007 O Lord, by Your hand save me from such men, from men of this world whose reward is in this life.... - Psalm 17:14Whenever I travel over the ocean, I am always reminded of the seemingly insignificant time we have on this earth. I often imagine dropping a glass of water out the window of the jet into the huge body of water below. The Lord then reminds me that this is how my life is compared to eternity - a mere drop in the ocean.Yet, every day millions of people will go to work seeking to gain that elusive thing called success. The rewards of this life continue to provide the incentive for 60-hour weeks or the extra weekend away from the family. Sometimes we get entrenched in the message of the world. This message is an appealing, seductive call to sell out eternity for the temporal. As a Christian businessman, I fell for this for many years until the Lord allowed me to wake up. It took some severe wake-up calls, but they did their job....

One Mighty Voice

Once again in the Indoor Stadium with my family and girlfriend, we were there for the New Creation Chinese New Year (Its the year of the PIG!) Service at 430pm, 18th Feb. As the worship/praise segment starts, I can literally feel the splendour and majesty when the people of God worship in one accord...love the feeling where thousands upon thousands lift their voices of praises, I really feel like I'm created just to do one thing, that is to worship the Almighty God. I felt so small during the service because His glory is present..no words can ever describe the magnificence and wonder of His glory. Picture this: 'Then I looked and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures and the elders and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom And strength and honor and glory and blessing!" And every creature whi...

Faith For Parking Lots

Time and again, God has shown Himself faithful in little things, I'm always amazed by His answering of simple and I thought 'insignficant' prayers. With cars infront of me whether at Suntec packed carpark or NIE morning carpark 4 jam, He has granted me a carpark lot on several occasions, the timings so exact after my prayer that I know its not concidental. I'm thankful for such times where my faith received an extra boost. =)
