AIDs
Teaching Lower Sec Science to my class has been an enriching experience for myself, there is this particular instance where I taught how AIDs or rather HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) attacks the immune system (mostly white blood cells) of the body such that even common illness like cold, coughs etc. become deadly because the HIV-infected body is unable to fight off these common infections. So technically speaking, a HIV-infected person is like an 'open target' exposed to all types of viruses and diseases found. One particular country devastated by AIDs is Africa, as I was preparing for my lessons, I found it extremely sad that about 26 million people in Africa were infected and the number is actually those reported cases only.
