Prayer of Faith

These are my friends who are not saved yet (professing Christians), in Jesus 's love and grace they will be! 1. W.F 2. C.S 3. W.C 4. N.Y 5. J.Lee 6. L.Lau Somehow I have a burden for them...I am writing their names down as a personal testimony and a statement of faith that ALL of them will know Christ one way or another.

Conviction

Just got back from attending my youth camp on both nights, had been blessed by the speaker and his message on the urgency of reaching out to the unsaved generation and how the power of God follows behind the message of the Gospel. I realised that youths have great potential to be used by God in powerful ways because they dare to dream. The older I get, the older I find myself being more critical and skeptical towards things in general. No wonder the Bible commends those with child-like faith. Recently, God has been speaking to me on blessing those who are not as fortunate as I am. Browsed through World Vision website, excellent interface and a God-given vision of this organisation. Have decided to sponsor a child from Vietnam as a small step towards blessing others with what I have been given.. 'But whoever has this world's goods and sees his brother in need and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?' 1 John 3:17

Thoughts at 2.22am

Feels quite of strange that I should be reminiscing about my past times with God at this time of the day, I'm quite a procrastinator...my account of my Israel trip is still not complete. I wonder how many times have I promised God something then to fail Him..He is really patient with me..or the number of prayers I made in all sincerity at that time only to realise the weakness of human flesh and my undependness, no wonder the Bible says, the heart of men is deceitful and a man may plan in his heart his steps but its the Lord who determines his steps.

Tech Miracle

Wanna share that my inner lens had a very visible hairline crack when I dropped my dslr on the pavement in paris recently...my own stupidity but by God's grace, I can't find the crack anymore the next day and the lens/dslr are functioning perfectly after that, all praise to God! =)

Beit 'Abara A protected area that require military escort, close by is where Joshua, Elijah and Elisha crossed the large loop in the Jordan River opposite the ancient city of Jericho (2 Kings 2:6-8, 13-15). Qumran The 2000 years old Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in a cave by Bedouin shepherd boys. Consolidated from scrolls found in some 11 caves, every Old Testament book is represented except Esther. It was a historical moment when the scrolls were discovered as there is evidence now apart from the Bibe itself that the Word of God is real. Behind L. and Auntie, one can see one of the caves where the Scrolls were found. Ein Gedi This was David's refuge when he fled form King Saul for the safety of his life (1 Samuel 23:29). It was believed that when he was here, he also wrote Psalm 57. 'Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You and in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge until these calamities have passed by. Psalm 57:1 Doesn't ...

The Mount of Olives It is where Jesus wept over Jersusalem and where He ascended to heaven after His resurrection (Acts 1:9-12). Jews and many Christians including me believe that when Jesus comes again, He will descend on the Mount of Olives and enter Jerusalem through the Eastern gate (Zech 14:1-4, Ezekiel 44:1-3) As you can observe from the picture, the Eastern gates are sealed up waiting for the Lord's return. A camel's ass. =P Dominus Flevit A small church located on the Mount of Olives and is believed to be where Jesus wept when He arrived in Jerusalem as He foresaw the tragic events that would occur after His death (Luke 19:37-42). The structure of the church the 4 corners looked like teardrops which represented Christ's tears. Garden of Gethsemane "Olive Press" Place where Jesus was so hard pressed as He prayed that He sweated great drops of blood (Mark 14:32-42, Luke 22:44). Also where He was betrayed and arrested (Mark 14:43-50). A recreated plot of...

Mount Scopus Within the official borders of the city of Jerusalem, one can have a panoramic view. The golden mosque one can see is the Dome of the Rock, a fiercely contested site between Muslims and Christians. Harod Spring 'And the Lord said to Gideon, "the people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying, "My own hand has saved me."(v2)......By the 300 men who lapped I will save you and deliver the Midianites into your hand..' Judges 7:1-5 From 33 000 (inital army) -> 10 000 (left those fearless) -> 300 (drink water by putting their hands to the mouths equate to watchful and alertful) VS 135 000 Midianites Ratio => 1 soldier from Gideon's army : 450 Midianites.. Interesting how God reduces the number of Gideon's army such that it leaves no doubt that God and God alone provides the victory and deliverance. The reliance that Gideon needed to place in God ...
