Heart Of Praises

Decembers are always memorable to me, as somehow I will think about the past year that just went by and give thanks, 2010 is no different even as major changes occured, with L and myself changing our jobs this year and how God is present each step of the way. To share abit more, L. Changed from a civil servant job to being a Speech Therapist, initially there were no more vacancies in the local U with 22 slots taken and 10 people already on reserve list. She was accepted into an Austrailian U but we were contemplating alot as it means physical separation for 2 years which was the duration of her Master course. To cut long story short, in the end she received an interview for a place in the local U with 4 local scholarships offered to her by the grace of God. From a possibility of spending in total 100k for overseas study to being provided for in the local context was the best thing to happen to us both. It is good to be back...after one week in Taiwan and straight after, one week in Hyderabad, Kurnool in India...hectic pace but what an eye opener and fantastic time I had...thanks be to God for the safety and protection throughout the entire duration of the trips.

Dated July 2009 period.. We are supposed to go for our pre-wedding photography Julias Wedding News Agency in Taiwan during this period, just on the night where we were ready to pack our bags to set off, we discovered that Taiwan had been hit by Typhoon Morakot and it was so severe that public schools were closed for the next few days. What happened next was that the airlines mentioned that there will not be any flights entering or leaving Taiwan. We were disappointed at that moment and wondered why did it have to happen to us, we got the itinerary sorted out, booked our hotel and tied up with the agency already, collected the wedding suit and gowns already etc.. In the end, we chose to take our pics in Singapore (which turned out very well too) since it was too close to our wedding day already and we couldn't afford another period of leave. But praise God, we managed to get back full refund from Jetstar and looking back, it was a good thing that the typhoon did not happen to us whi...

Plenty of things to be thankful for the past year 2009, been ages since I last touched this blog, let's see what happened during this period...prepared for marriage, got married, went for tripsss, changed career, having my June break now. Life is good. =)
