Decembers are always memorable to me, as somehow I will think about the past year that just went by and give thanks, 2010 is no different even as major changes occured, with L and myself changing our jobs this year and how God is present each step of the way. To share abit more,

Changed from a civil servant job to being a Speech Therapist, initially there were no more vacancies in the local U with 22 slots taken and 10 people already on reserve list. She was accepted into an Austrailian U but we were contemplating alot as it means physical separation for 2 years which was the duration of her Master course. To cut long story short, in the end she received an interview for a place in the local U with 4 local scholarships offered to her by the grace of God. From a possibility of spending in total 100k for overseas study to being provided for in the local context was the best thing to happen to us both. We cried, hugged and really all glory and praise to God.

Myself.
Changed from a civil servant job to being freelance photographer/tuition teacher and full time equity trader. Even as my income source now is not as certain compared to a regular paying job, I really feel that God has called me to my passion and I am looking forward to each new day and challenges.

'Trust in the Lord your God with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding but in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.' Prov 3:5-6

Sea Of Galilee The Sea of Galilee is the catchment basin for the Jordan River and is fed primarily by the melting snow of Mount Hermon in the north. Disciples first or Saints?

In the synoptic gospels the term disciples is used 160 times, John 78, Book of Acts after the church began 28 times. We can see the number of times it is being used is slowly dwinding, the question is why? Not once is it used in the rest of the New Testament after the book of Acts. That is extremely peculiar, why is that? Instead the Church members are called saints, brethren. As the Church developed they had what is called the body of Christ. This meant membership in Christ himself 1 Cor.12:13 . You can follow Christ and be a disciple and not be saved, or, you can be saved and follow which makes you a saint or one of the brethren. T his term "Saint" was first used in the NT when Annaias said Paul did many things evil things to the Saints in Jerusalem Acts 9:13(as when he put the saints in prison and put many to death Acts 26:10) The word Saint shows ones position in Christ, the word disciple shows one is a learner.
