Periodic review of what happened in my life in 2013, we changed church, finally after a couple of years of wrestling, we decided that to feed on God's Word and grow in the understanding and knowledge of Jesus Christ takes precedence, it wasn't easy having to leave many bonds of friendship and fellowship behind, but both L and myself felt this was necessary so that we can begin a new phase or chapter in our lives.





Its already July in 2013, L will be starting her new chapter of work soon in her new workplace, we truly have much to give thanks for. Even as I prepare also for my annual ICT coming up, I did a check on the number of ICTs I went through and recalled the different years that flew past. Truly, time moves quickly and really I am glad to say that I like how everything is panning out, great and meaningful work, good friends, lovely families and wife, great food and place to live in despite minor quibbles.

18 This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot. 19 Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God. 20 They seldom reflect on the days of their life, because God keeps them occupied with gladness of heart. Sea Of Galilee The Sea of Galilee is the catchment basin for the Jordan River and is fed primarily by the melting snow of Mount Hermon in the north. Small streams also flow down from the surrounding mountains. It is 685 feets below sea level. Receiving God

In recent preparations of my school college day as well as my own church Worship Night, I realised there are parallel truths reflected in Man's behaviour and God. Tremendous amount of efforts are placed in terms of preparing the school and the people in receiving the guest-of-honor. Every minute detail is looked into to ensure that the guest-of-honor received the best form of welcome and recognition. Every Sunday, we prepare ourselves to meet God, the Creator of the heavens and the earths, who uphold everything by the power of His spoken word. I sometimes wonder are we more meticulous in our own work and place in giving some other humans the honor compared to our God. Do we desire to please more the Lord rather than our own boss? Do we seek to provide the best form of welcome for our Lord compared to some other VeryVIP? Nothing wrong with honoring a fellow human being, but just sometimes I feel that more efforts seem to be placed in that rather than pleasing our Lord...

Disciples first or Saints?

In the synoptic gospels the term disciples is used 160 times, John 78, Book of Acts after the church began 28 times. We can see the number of times it is being used is slowly dwinding, the question is why? Not once is it used in the rest of the New Testament after the book of Acts. That is extremely peculiar, why is that? Instead the Church members are called saints, brethren. As the Church developed they had what is called the body of Christ. This meant membership in Christ himself 1 Cor.12:13 . You can follow Christ and be a disciple and not be saved, or, you can be saved and follow which makes you a saint or one of the brethren. T his term "Saint" was first used in the NT when Annaias said Paul did many things evil things to the Saints in Jerusalem Acts 9:13(as when he put the saints in prison and put many to death Acts 26:10) The word Saint shows ones position in Christ, the word disciple shows one is a learner.
