Sept Update

After about a month since I injured my knee, I am doing much better now, with full mobility restored and little or almost no more pain in my knee, am trusting God for full restoration even better than before it was injured. Thank God for the speedy recovery! The swelling has went down dramatically after the first few days!

Just started serving in Rock Kidz in NCC with L, been an interesting experience dealing with the P1 and P2, didn't know there is understanding and skill needed just to bring the boys to the loo, or to keep them engaged..hats off to primary school teachers!

Work-wise has reached the final lap for this year, the students just finished their Prelims, marked their papers, am believing for each of my classes to do exceptionally well for their A-levels, some of them in the natural really looks to be in danger...may God give me the wisdom to deal and help them during this critical phase.

Reflecting back when I was a student, things nowadays are more complicated, they have more things to deal with, be it distractions, interests or just their attitudes. Looking back, nurturing the youths is a rewarding process, of course the little gifts and notes aside, it is the understanding that some where along the way, their lives, thoughts and attitudes are influenced and shaped to different extent by me, within my sphere of influence.

Disciples first or Saints?

In the synoptic gospels the term disciples is used 160 times, John 78, Book of Acts after the church began 28 times. We can see the number of times it is being used is slowly dwinding, the question is why? Not once is it used in the rest of the New Testament after the book of Acts. That is extremely peculiar, why is that? Instead the Church members are called saints, brethren. As the Church developed they had what is called the body of Christ. This meant membership in Christ himself 1 Cor.12:13 . You can follow Christ and be a disciple and not be saved, or, you can be saved and follow which makes you a saint or one of the brethren. T his term "Saint" was first used in the NT when Annaias said Paul did many things evil things to the Saints in Jerusalem Acts 9:13(as when he put the saints in prison and put many to death Acts 26:10) The word Saint shows ones position in Christ, the word disciple shows one is a learner.
