The Year of Greater Glory

Isaiah 60:1-5

Amplified Bible (AMP)
60 Arise [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you—rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!
For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and dense darkness [all] peoples, but the Lord shall arise upon you [O Jerusalem], and His glory shall be seen on you.
And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.
Lift up your eyes round about you and see! They all gather themselves together, they come to you. Your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be carried and nursed in the arms.
Then you shall see and be radiant, and your heart shall thrill and tremble with joy [at the glorious deliverance] and be enlarged; because the abundant wealth of the [Dead] [a]Sea shall be turned to you, unto you shall the nations come with their treasures.

Stepping into the 4th month of 2014 and the world is already filled with bleak news from the disappearance of MH 370, to the death of my ex-student, to the political unrest between Russia and Ukraine over Crimea, to the firing of short-range missiles by North Korea. The dense darkness that pastor explained is not natural and as believers, we need not be afraid of this darkness that covers the earth because the glory of God is upon us. Jesus has restored the glory to all believers as found in John 17:22-23 and though previously all have fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 8:23), that has been restored through Christ.
A lighter news, I received my promotion and got a new car by His grace and favor. Interesting, my attention is not so fixated on these things though now that I got them. I am very thankful for what I have and for what I receive, don't get me wrong and  I enjoy the blessings but these things doesn't satisfy my soul and spirit. I get more satisfied and contented by the knowledge of the love of Christ for me,  perhaps I'm growing a little? =)
The assurance that Christ is for me and not against me, the comfort knowing that my life and all its details are known by my Creator and the security in knowing that NOTHING can ever pluck me out from Christ's nailed pierced hands because His love is greater than all.

Romans 8:38-39

Amplified Bible (AMP)
38 For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things[a]impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers,
39 Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
