2 years on...

2 years flew by since my last post on this blog, cliche as it sounds but time flies. No wonder scriptures tell us to number our days.

'Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.' Psalms 90:12

Recently, 8 JCs were asked to merge, MJC with TPJC was one of the pairs of colleges. The waiting before the eventual news for many was filled with trepidation. Personally, though disturbed I still know that all things will work together for good, thank God for his peace that my sleep leading up to the release of news wasn't affected. This waiting time has also forced me to slow down and reflect on my time in JC. I always thought that it will be long term and it saddens me when some of my colleagues will be leaving. For me, spending my time to educate the youths not just about Chemistry but about life in general has been a blessing to myself. Yes there are many times when I was exasperated by the numerous let down by different students at different occasions but basically we are all work in progress :). I really enjoy my work, PTL.

As I look forward, this year 2017 is the year of JUBILEE! I declare that everything stolen will be returned to me. No longer slaves to sin but slaves to righteousness! I have been asking myself as I just passed the mid 30s, do my life feel fulfilled, or is there something more I can do? It has always been a balance between stepping out of my own comfort zone and to do things that have a greater purpose and significance. I am still waiting for a particular promise of God to be real in my life. May that promise come soon! :)
