God works in my work!
Being a new teacher of a neighbourhood school, I do have several concerns about my ability to manage and teach. Coupled with many things to take note, ranging from academic side of preparing lesson slides, students' notes, worksheets, assessment modes, lesson plans to the relational side of managing the class, setting the tone, balancing between being a disciplician and a mentor/guide. It can be rather overwhelming especially in the beginning stages.
However, this morning about 6.20am before going to school, I came across this Bible verse that really spoke to me and affirmed me.
'And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands for us; yes establish the work of our hands.' Psalm 90:17
Many a times, we grumble and complain about work or we worry and get ourselves concerned about establishing our mark in our careers. This verse reminds me that I'm called to do His work and the grace and favor of God will help to establish the works of my hands, I am not working to prove myself or my worth. My priorities should not focus on what the world seeks after but on what God hold in regards to being imporant and have eternal value.
And yes..by the grace of God, my concerns and fears have dissipated. Praise God for allowing me to learn and excel in the things I am doing.
