Wood Cutting Competition
A story told by my pastor E. has been stuck on my mind since several months back when he shared the wood cutting story. It goes something like this...
'There were 2 wood cutters A. and B. taking part in a wood cutting competition, when the competition started, A. was cutting the wood furiously and continuously for 3 days 3 nights with minimal toilet breaks and meal breaks. On the other hand, B. didn't start cutting his wood straight away, instead he tooks frequent breaks and was often not at the competition arena. A. thought to himself 'haha looks like I have secured a win for myself, B must have given up on the competition seeing how I hack and saw at my wood furiously', with a sneer, he continued on with his pile of wood. The day of reckoning came, when the judges reviewed the pile of wood cut by both A. and B., surprise of surprise, B. won the competition! A. stared in disbelief and asked B. how did he do it?
B. simply answered 'the breaks i took were to sharpen my axe...'
